In this job, you’ll be working closely with local advertisers, from mom and pops to large regional clients, as their local online advertising expert.  You may even end up hosting local seminars on how to achieve the best results by advertising on the web. As the top local business executive, you will be required to attend chamber and trade functions, get involved in the community groups, head up charitable efforts, and maintain a highly visible presence in the business community.

Ideal candidates will have in-depth understanding of current and emerging media markets, be a local resident, have a car, and be involved in the local business communities we are covering.

Job Responsibilities:
The Local Online Sales Executive is responsible for advertising sales to businesses in local markets. As a sales executive, it is your responsibility to sell advertising property, such as: banner ads, e-newsletters, video, and more.
As a media Liaison, you will present promotional opportunities and display options to store owners/management, and evaluate and purse opportunities to increase sales of current and new offerings. You will handle ad sales, inventory management and “own” the online advertising for assigned local markets. You will also be responsible for assisting in coordinating local event sponsorships and attending them. Work may be required on the weekends.

Required Skills:
Prospective candidates should have top notch sales and marketing instincts and the willingness and determination to act as a media consultant and the ability to close/ask for the sale. Qualified persons must understand online advertising and also have ability to manage sales, inventory, design and other aspects of online advertising simultaneously. In addition, qualified persons will be able to quickly grasp the interests, rhythms, and identity of a community. Prospective must have great interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working hard, as well as competent organization skills.
